Replaceable but mysterious derailleur hanger


The replaceable derailleur hanger is threaded. It appears to be made from aluminum.  It affixes to the frame using two fasteners. The fasteners are about 21 mm apart center to center. The fasteners originate on the inner side of the drop out, which is unusual; most derailleur hangers seem to have fasteners that screw in from the outer side of the drop out. The hanger has a recessed hole on the inside of it presumably for the derailleur, but this feature again is unusual.
