The bottom bracket shell is aluminum and traditional English thread (BSA). The width of the bottom bracket is 68 mm. A cable guide for the derailleurs is mounted on the bottom of the frame. The bottom bracket looks traditional in its design relative to the oversized and more contiguous bottom bracket designs of Tarmacs and S2s. The intersection of the seat tube on the bottom bracket is defined and visible.
