Open Mold

The MCR-01 is made from an “open” mold. This means that More Choice owns the mold and can sell frames made from this mold to whoever wants to buy them. For example, ABC Bikes could order 100 frames and brand them as the Attack and sell them in the United States. DEF Bikes company could order 500 frames and brand them as the Sprinter and also sell them in the United States. To avoid the obvious embarrassment or scandal of having two identical frames sold by different companies under different brands, More Choice has designed the frame in such a way that the rear triangle (the seat tube, the chain stays and the seat stays) can be customized. For example, ABC Bikes could order a seat tube that has an aerodynamic look to it. This would become ABC Bikes’ proprietary mold; no other buyers would be able to use this combination.
