My name is Fred Thomas and I am the modern face of Austro-Daimler cycling. I raced an Austro-Daimler Superleicht as a youth in the late 1980s and wanted to do so again as a masters category cyclist (thirty years later). I pulled a “Mini Cooper” as I like to say and then found some suppliers who helped me produce high performance carbon fiber frame sets. In 2012, the Superleicht Carbon, tt Carbon and the Ubercross Carbon returned to the New England peleton and to the world wide market.
I have been selling these frame sets on the Frame and Wheel eBay Store ever since. The frame sets have sold to customers all over the world (United Kingdom, Thailand, Italy, Finland) and all over the United States (New York City, Tucson, Asheville, San Diego, Chicago). The market remembers the brand and the bikes have been well received. In early 2014, I launched the A-D Bikes website and introduced e-commerce functionality to this site in order to broaden access to the market. A-D Bikes is located in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.
